Done!

I did this pop-up interpretation of the fairy-tale "Hänsel und Gretel" for kellner.spiel - next week it will travel to a Japan to accompany a presenation for a playground there wich is inspired by fairy-tales. It was the first time I did something like this and it was such interesting process to make a pop-up! Puzzling all the different parts together really fits with my way of working.

Just one impression from the Bologna Children´s Book Fair.

There was a cool presentation - "When Book becomes Pop – up" - with the participation of David Carter, Massimo Missiroli and Gérard LoMonaco who presented his new bookprojekt for hélium editions.
The fair itself gave occassion for many intresting encounters with publishers, illustrators and many friends.

something popping up - spring!

For the present these are my pop-up illustrations. Tomorrow we are heading towards Italy for beautifull Bologna, the Children´s Book Fair and a decent Espresso in the morning.

something new pops up

Puh! We just moved our studio - it was a lot of work but Ewa and me are completely happy with the new place! And I started working on something new - a pop-up-book. Actually for a job, but I really got into it and it is flowering out ... // Gerade sind wir mit unserem Atelier umgezogen. Die Mühe hat sich gelohnt; mit dem neuen Arbeitsraum sind Ewa und ich sehr glücklich. Außerdem habe ich angefangen an etwas Neuem zu arbeiten, das ich total spannend finde - einem Pop-Up-Buch. Es entfaltet sich ... und später gibt´s dann mehr zu sehen.
